Deets: Each year, thousands crowd the sidewalks for the event and millions watch the live broadcast. The tree remains lit and on display on the plaza between West 49th and 51st Streets and Fifth and Sixth Avenues through mid-January.

Hint for the Average Socialite: The tree will be lit daily from from 6AM-12AM. On Christmas Day, the Tree is lit for 24 hours and on New Year’s Eve it is lit from 6AM to 9PM.
