Elie Saab is a Lebanese luxury fashion house founded in 1982 in Beirut by designer Elie Saab, who opened his atelier at just 18. Renowned for romantic, opulent evening gowns and bridal couture richly worked with embroidery, lace and hand-placed embellishment, the label shot to global fame when Halle Berry accepted her 2002 Best Actress Oscar in one of its gowns. An invited member of the Paris haute couture calendar since 2003, the house has since grown into a full luxury universe — ready-to-wear, bridal, handbags, accessories and fragrance (its Le Parfum launched in 2011) — dressing everyone from Queen Rania of Jordan and Beyoncé to Meghan Markle, with boutiques from Beirut to Paris, London, Dubai and New York.
